Embark on a tasty food-focused excursion and indulge in six tasty bites of savory dishes, desserts, wine, beer at unique restaurants as you learn about Carlsbad’s culinary scene, art, culture, and local history.

Following your fun, knowledgeable guide, you’ll head out on a foodie adventure to locally owned cafés and restaurants, where you can savor French crepes, strawberry shortcake, old-world dishes including generations-old recipes from Cicciotti’s, and award-winning wine at Witch Creek Winery. 

Throughout the tour, you’ll learn about the historical significance of Carlsbad as you walk down Grand Ave. to Carlsbad Blvd. and enjoy the majesty of the Carlsbad Mineral Spa and the Twin Inns historic landmarks.

Between each destination your guide will offer interesting details about the old-fashioned storefronts and buildings with charming Victorian style architecture that make up downtown Carlsbad.

Need to know:

• This tour is fun for the family and dog friendly (if a venue has an outside patio available for its customers, then dogs are allowed).
• Children 4 and younger are complimentary when accompanied by a paying adult.
• Please advise of food allergies or dietary restrictions when you reserve your tour time. They will do their best to accommodate your needs.
• You must be 21 years of age and may be required show to government issued photo ID to consume alcohol.
• Bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.
• Tour takes place in rain or shine. Please wear comfortable, appropriate clothes, and bring an umbrella.
• All locations are wheelchair accessible.
• The maximum number of participants per tour is 20.
• Restaurant tax and gratuities are included. Tour guide gratuities are graciously accepted at your discretion.
