Zombie Scavenger Hunt in Montgomery AL

Put your survival skills to the test with a zombie scavenger hunt in Montgomery!

Your mission: Zombies are everywhere! Small colonies of the living are struggling to survive. With your team of up to 10 friends, you'll search downtown Montgomery for much needed supplies like food, vehicles, bandages, necessities, and more.

Using your smartphone, the game will lead you through downtown Montgomery. The app will give you a list of items you need to find to survive a zombie apocalypse. The more you find, the more points you get and the greater the chances you’ll survive the Apocalypse.

With the freedom to choose your own path and the order in which you find items; you'll need to strategize to earn the most points and ensure your team's survival. Compare your score to other teams across the country and see how you stack up.

You’ll only have 1 hour to collect as many survival items as you can by taking a picture through the app. There will also be zombie themed challenges in the app that you can complete for more points. Along the way, a remote host will be available to offer support through chat on the app.

You can divide up into teams if you are playing in a larger group and play against each other to see who finds all the survival items first!

How it works:

• Instructions on registering will be provided to you after you have activated your Breakaway Experiences' certificate.
• When you are ready to play, you’ll register with the experience provider and download the app called "GooseChase" onto your smartphone.
• To play the game you will need an Android or iOS Smartphone with a data plan.
• You’ll go to the starting location in downtown Montgomery, Alabama on the day / time you want to play, and follow the directions provided to you in the Zombie Scavenger app.
• Once you find a 'survival' item, you'll take a picture to prove you found it. You do not have to purchase anything during the scavenger hunt.
• Your remote host/guide will be monitoring your progress via the App every step of the way. You won't be alone. You can chat with them on the App throughout the game to receive hints, tips, and help if you need it.
• You can have up to 10 people on your team. The optimum group size is between 4 and 6 people.
• If you are playing in a larger group, you can split into teams and play against each other to see who finds all the survival items first!
• You can put the scavenger hunt app on as many phones as you'd like.

When:

• Zombie Scavenger customer support hours are Tuesday - Sunday from 9am-5pm.
• If you'd like, you can play anytime, outside the customer support hours.

Walking distance involved: 1-mile approximately

Need to know:

• Nobody will be physically there with you during the game, dressed as Zombies. Everything is done through your smartphone.
• The game is played all outdoors in public spaces.
• The experience is wheelchair accessible. It is an open scavenger hunt, where you can explore the city on your own terms. There is no specific route, therefore you don’t have to go anywhere that is not wheelchair accessible, nor will you be asked to find anything that could not be accessible in a wheelchair.
